Scietntists Create Color Changing Chocolates!

A research team led by scientists at ETH Zurich university in Switzerland have created shimmering chocolates that seem to radiate rainbows. They didn’t add any colorants to the chocolates, but they did figure out a clever way to imprint a structure on the surface of the candy to give the treats a magical glow

Kooser, Amanda. “Scientists Create Dazzling Color-Changing Chocolates, No Dyes Needed”. CNET, 2019,

They were able to create this effect because they added a special imprint to the surface of the chocolate. They refer to this imprint as structural color. The scientists are currently working on molds to mass produce these, but we’re hoping these spectacular chocolates will be on the market soon!
